About Data Processing

Below you can read how we process your data, where we store it (or have it stored), which security techniques we use, and who has access to your data.

Online Store Software – Shopify

Our online store is built using Shopify software. The personal data you provide to us as part of our services is shared with this company. Shopify has access to your data to provide us with technical support, but will never use it for any other purpose. Under the agreement we have signed with them, Shopify is obliged to take appropriate security measures, such as using SSL encryption and enforcing a secure password policy.

Shopify is certified for processing credit card data. Shopify uses cookies to collect technical information regarding the use of the software; no personal data is collected or stored through these cookies. Shopify reserves the right to share collected data within its own corporate group to further improve its services. Shopify complies with statutory data retention periods for (personal) data. The EU/US Privacy Shield applies, meaning your data may be processed in the United States.

Email – GoDaddy

For our business email communications, we use the services of GoDaddy. GoDaddy has implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent misuse, loss, and unauthorized alteration of your (and our) data as much as possible.

GoDaddy does not have access to our mailbox, and we treat all our email correspondence confidentially.

Payment Processors – Mollie

To process (part of) the payments in our online store, we use the Mollie platform. Mollie processes your name, address, city, and payment details such as your bank account or credit card number. Mollie has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. Mollie reserves the right to use your data to improve its services and, in this context, may share (anonymized) data with third parties.

All guarantees mentioned above regarding the protection of your personal data also apply to Mollie services that involve third parties. Mollie does not retain your data longer than legally allowed.

Payment Processors – Klarna

We also use Klarna to process (part of) the payments. Klarna processes your name, address, residency information, and payment details such as your account or card number. Klarna has implemented technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data. Klarna may use your data to improve its services and may share (anonymized) data with third parties for this purpose.

If you apply for deferred payment (a credit line), Klarna will share your personal data and financial information with credit rating agencies. All guarantees regarding the protection of your personal data mentioned above also apply to Klarna services where third parties are involved. Klarna does not retain your data longer than legally permitted.

Shipping and Logistics – Canada Post

If you place an order with us, it is our responsibility to deliver it to you. To carry out deliveries, we use the services of Canada Post. For this purpose, it is necessary that we share your name, address, and place of residence with Canada Post. Canada Post uses this information solely for the purpose of delivering the shipment. If Canada Post engages third parties, your data will also be made available to those parties.

Purpose of Data Processing

General Use
We use your data exclusively to provide our services. This means that processing is always directly related to the service you request. We do not use your data for (targeted) marketing. If you share data with us and we use this data— for a purpose other than your request —to contact you later, we will always ask for your explicit consent.

Your data is not shared with third parties, except when necessary to comply with accounting obligations or other legal requirements.
